OBIT CRINER, ELMER RAY
CRINER, Elmer Ray, 65, of Willis, passed away Saturday, February 13, 1993
at Radford Community Hospital. He was retired from Meadow Gold Dairy, a
veteran of World War II, and a member of the Laurel Hill Church of Christ. He
was the widower of Lorraine Hollandsworth Criner and was preceded in death by
two brothers, Vivian Criner and Tom Criner. Survivors include his wife, Mary
D. Criner, Willis; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Criner, Weare,
N.H.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Joe Batts, Christiansburg,
Robbin and Donnie Hedge, Pulaski, Renee and Tim Campbell, Riner; seven
sisters, Hasaba Spence, Floyd, Jo Ann Sowers, Margie Mannon, Rachael Simpkins,
Helen Bain, Ibra Brookman, all of Radford, Carol Whitlock, Hiwassee; three
brothers, Henry Criner, Radford, Wendell Criner, Christiansburg, Dennis
Criner, Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m.
Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with C.E. Mannon and Larry
Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Showalter Cemetery. Friends may
call at the Maberry Funeral Home after noon Sunday where the family will be
from 7 to 9 p.m.
