OBIT FLOOD, DOROTHY A.

FLOOD, Dorothy A., of Christiansburg, passed away February 12, 1993. She went to her eternal reward on that day, after a long illness. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James J. Flood; cherished son-in-law, George Jackson; and infant greatgrandson, Thomas George McFee. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lenore Jackson of Christiansburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Barbara Minch of Marco Island, Fla., and Jim and Peg Flood of Brooklyn, N.Y. She also leaves as a legacy, fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Catholic Wake service will be held at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg on Sunday, February 14, 1993 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 15, 1993 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. in Blacksburg with the Rev. Donald LeMay officiating. Her remains will be flown to New York for burial in St. Charles Cemetery in Babylon, N.Y. after a memorial service at Marine Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Building Fund of the Phase I Nursing Home at Warm Hearth Village, 1060 Showalter Drive, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
