OBIT SHELTON, EVELYN HAMILTON
SHELTON, Evelyn Hamilton, 74, of 740 Sandusky Drive, Lynchburg, died
Saturday, February 13, 1993 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of
Frank Horton Shelton. Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Mr.
Huel C. Hamilton and Mrs. Willie Peters Hamilton. She was a retired teacher
for the Lynchburg Public Schools. She was a member and former president of the
Ladies Auxiliary of Elks Lodge #321 and a member of Fort Hill United Methodist
Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Karen H. Shelton, Daleville; two sisters and a
brother-in-law, James B. and Mary Hamilton Miles, Buena Vista, Mrs. Mildred H.
Dennis, Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Mary D. Shelton and David T. Shelton,
both of Daleville. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, 2 p.m. in Fort
Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ronnie Morris. Interment will follow
in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and
suggest those wishing to make memorials, please consider the Lynchburg
