BRIEFLY PUT...

IT'S FOR a good cause - to support domestic-violence shelters for abused spouses. And, considering how much it costs to get out of a marriage, it's not unreasonable that it should cost a bit more to get in. So Virginians should back a House-passed bill to raise from $10 to $20 the price for a marriage license - even if taxing true love does seem an odd way to say "Happy Valentine's Day."
