WILDLIFE VIDEO AIRS IN ROANOKE

Most anglers would be happy just to catch one muskie during their lives. Alex Scott of McCoy caught three, in a single day on the New River, and with the Virginia Wildlife Video Magazine crew tagging along.

That caper will be the first "Virginia Wildlife" show of the season on Blue Ridge Public Television (WBRA, channel 15 in Roanoke), 3:30 p.m., Feb. 27.

The 13-week series is a service of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

"Alex Scott did a great job for us and it's a perfect lead into Virginia's muskie management program," said Roy Edwards, the show's producer and writer. "Keep in mind, there are no fake set ups in our show; Alex really hooked all three fish."

Scott's catches gave him a career total of more than 300 muskie, most of them coming from the New River.
