SOCCER-ROANOKE STAR TEAM FALLS IN CHAMPIONSHIP

The under-15 Roanoke Star White lost 1-0 to Burke (Va.) Blast in the championship of the St. Valentine's Indoor Classic in Greensboro, N.C. Roanoke, playing in the under-16 division of the tournament, finished 4-1-1. Jorge Rivera had five goals and Brian Sharp four over the weekend, and Tait Duus was the top defensive standout as the Star outscored opponents 18-5.
