B.N. ANDERSON, EX-POSTMASTER OF DUBLIN, DIES
Bernard McNeil Anderson Jr., a former Navy pilot and retired postmaster for Dublin, died at his home in Dublin Saturday. He was 69.Anderson served in the Pacific near the end of World War II and returned to active duty during the Korean War in the 1950s and the Cuban missile crisis in 1961.
He had been a director for Randolph House of Pulaski and worshipful master of Henry Clay Lodge No. 280, A.F. & A.M., Dublin. He also served as deputy grand master for the 40th Masonic District. He will have a Masonic memorial service tonight at 8 at the Dublin United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Choir Fund of the church.
Anderson is survived by his wife, Mary Ella Hall Anderson, and daughters Carolyn Black, Roanoke, and Georgia Wampler, Salem, and son, Michael Anderson of Fairlawn.
