MAN FACES SHOOTING, WOUNDING CHARGES

Rodney Jermaine Brown, 18, was charged with malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle and using a firearm Sunday following the wounding of Michael J. Preston, 35.

Police said the shooting took place in the 1500 block of Orange Avenue Northwest. Police said Preston was hit in the face by windshield glass that shattered when a man shot into Preston's parked car. Brown was arrested in the 800 block of Staunton Avenue Northwest.

Police said the shooting followed a disagreement between Preston and a female friend.
