OBIT TURPIN, JOHN EDWARD

TURPIN, John Edward, 83, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, February 13, 1993. He was a veteran of World War II. He lived in New River for over 60 years and was a retired carpenter of Inland Motors with over 30 years service. He was a member of Morgan's Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Josephine E. Turpin of Hampton; two daughters, Mrs. Bud (Gaye) Hampshire of Poquoson, and Mrs. Paul (Karen) Morgan of Hampton; four grandchildren, Jessica Cox of Hampton, Stacey Saunders of Poquoson, Chris Saunders of Falls Church, and Bill Hampshire of San Rafael, Calif. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Interment will follow in Hickman Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
