OBIT MILTON, EDWARD BERNARD
MILTON, Edward Bernard, 61, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, February 13,
1993, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Salem. He was born
November 23, 1931, in Bedford County, a son of the late Bernard Milton and
Martha Frances Bradley Milton. He was a retired foreman with the Virginia
Department of Transportation, with 31 years of service, a member of the Suck
Springs Baptist Church, and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived
by his wife, Nancy Orange Milton; two sons, David R. Milton of Stewartsville;
Edward Dale Milton of Bedford; three daughters, Mary Beth Milton, Sandra L.
Reed, both of Bedford; Wanda Faye Milton of Roanoke; two brothers, Johnny
Milton, Lewis Milton, both of Climax, N.C.; one sister, Rosie Santilianez,
Sacremento, Calif; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted
11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 1993, from the Updike Funeral Chapel by the Rev.
Ray Lyons. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will
receive friends Monday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Updike Funeral Home,
Bedford.
