OBIT WATSON, EVELYN JOHNSON

WATSON, Evelyn Johnson, 69, of Bedford, died Sunday, February 14, 1993 in a Roanoke hospital. She was born in Bedford County on March 5, 1923, a daughter of the late John M. Watson and Elizabeth Johnson Watson. She was a member of the Morgans Baptist Church and a retired Registered Nurse at the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She is survived by four brothers, William Watson and Buford Watson of Moneta, Joseph Watson, Richmond, Jack Watson, Indianapolis, Ind.; two nieces and two nephews and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 1993 at Morgans Baptist Chrurch with the Rev. Thomas R. Speight and Rev. David Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgans Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p..m. Tuesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
