OBIT PHILLIPS, ALONZO KENNETH

PHILLIPS, Alonzo Kenneth, 67, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, February 14, 1993 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. A retired employee of the V.A. Medical Center in Salem, he is survived by his wife, Irene Brumfield Phillips; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth W. and Alva Phillips, Riner, Steve A. and Erma Phillips, Christiansburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna P. and Harold Higgs, Salem; four brothers, C.B. Phillips, Floyd, Kirby Phillips, Christiansburg, Cline Phillips, Radford, Coburn Phillips, Willis; one sister, Gae. P Showalter, Willis; one half sister, Leah P. Gillie, Fredericksburg; two grandsons; two granddaughters; two step grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Christiansburg Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Tom Hodge and Mr. C.E. Mannon with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Tuesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
