LANDSCAPE SCHOOL THIS WEEKEND IN RICHMOND

For New River Valley gardeners who would like to learn more about landscape design, the Landscape Design School will be offered by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service and the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs this weekend at the Richmond Marriott.

The annual design school, which begins with registration Friday at 8 a.m. and ends Sunday at noon, will feature a staff of expert instructors who will present lectures and slide illustrations.

The topics will include landscape architecture site design, elements of landscape architectural design, the use of plants in composition and other issues.
