SUNDAY FIRE IN PARROTT UNDER INVESTIGATION
A house fire Sunday night in the Parrott community is being investigated as suspicious, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. The fire in the Dry Branch section at a house belonging to Larry Johnston was reported at 10:06 p.m., Capt. Donnie Simpkins said.
The Twin Communities Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.
One bedroom and a bathroom were destroyed; the fire apparently started in a nearby hallway, Simpkins said. Johnston was not living in the home.
Some house windows had been spray-painted with obscenities and other graffiti, Simpkins said.
