GIRLS BLUE RIDGE CONFERENCE

Roanoke Valley Christian 57, Timberlake Christian 46: At RVC, Brandi Surkamer scored 18 points and Kimberly Rakes 13 as the Eagles (11-11) tripped Timberlake in the first round of the conference tournament. Roanoke Valley Christian took a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and coasted to the victory. RVC advances to the semifinals Friday night against Lynchburg Christian which defeated Carlisle 79-18.\ Roanoke Catholic 43, Stuart Hall 26: Abby Dickson had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the host Celtics to a victory over Stuart Hall in the first round.

Roanoke Catholic led 18-11 at halftime, but outscored Stuart Hall 13-3 in the third quarter. The Celtics (18-3, 12-2) earned a berth to the semifinals this weekend against Holy Cross in Lynchburg.

Jeannette Jackson led Stuart Hall with nine points.\ Holy Cross 29, North Cross 19: In Lynchburg, Emily deGuzman scored 13 points and Sara Lexa added 10 as the Gaels ran past the Raiders in another first-round game.

Holy Cross led the whole way and held all North Cross (7-4) scorers to single digits.
