OBIT FURROW, JOHN ELDRIDGE

FURROW, John Eldridge, 92, of Salem, died Wednesday, February 17, 1993, in a Salem hospital. He was retired from the N & W Railroad. He is survived by three sons, Carl R. Furrow, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Charles E. Furrow, Roanoke, Ira K. Furrow, Anderson, S.C.; one daughter, Winona F. Carr, Salem; one sister, Virginia O. Lawson, Roanoke; one brother, Woodrow Wilson Wray, Botetourt County; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 19, 1993, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Larry Atkin officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after 3 p.m. Thursday.
