OBIT ROBERTSON, LINDA JOYCE AKERS

ROBERTSON, Linda Joyce Akers, 51, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 16, 1993. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church, where she was the choir director and organist. Mrs. Robertson is survived by her husband, Herman D. Robertson Jr., Roanoke; a stepson, Steven Charles Robertson, Shawsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Forrest D. and Irene J. Akers, Temple Hills, Md., Gene Frank Akers, Columbia, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen A. and David Stanley, Bedford, Mary (Betty) A. and Hal A. Crotts, Judith A. Dobe, all of Troutville; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 1993 at noon at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Frank W. Feather and Dr. Kenneth B. Wright officiating with burial to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Forest Park Baptist Church. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
