OBIT-DALBY, EDWIN LEWIS
DALBY, Edwin Lewis, 82, of Salem, died Wednesday, February 17, 1993. He was
a resident of Richfield Nursing Center. He was born in Roanoke, son of Richard
Gassendi and Laura Dechert Dalby. He graduate from Jefferson High School in
1931 and attended Ohio University in Athens, after which he spent many years
in Chattanooga, Tenn. as purchasing director for Erlanger Catholic Hospital in
conjunction with St. Mary's Catholic Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Cleo
Robinson Shulkcum Dalby, Salem, formerly of Blacksburg, Va. and Chambersburg,
Pa.; two daughters, Katherine (Mrs. Hoyt Bozeman), Kalaheo, Hawaii; Nancy
(Mrs. Robert Gillette), Shepherdstown, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Kristin and
Kala Bozeman, Pace and Robbie Gillette, two brothers and their wives, H. H.
(`'Bud") Dalby and his wife, Mary, Salem, John and Bernice Dalby, Toledo,
Ohio. Funeral services will be in Oakey's South Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday
with Chaplain Thomas C. Clay and The Rev. Walter M. Lockett Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to the Fort Lewis Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends
from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel.
