OBIT-GLENN, SAMUEL MYRL JR.

GLENN, Samuel Myrl Jr., 69, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, February 17, 1993 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born in Roanoke on May 9, 1923, the son of the late Samuel M. Glenn Sr. and Clara Jennings Glenn. He was a retired insurance agent with Peoples Life Insurance Company and a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Anne Lee McDaniel Glenn, Buena Vista; two daughters, Sarah G. Johnson, Dunnellon, Fla. and Jeanne Glenn, Albany, N.Y.; one son, the Rev. Samuel M. Glenn, Greenville, Texas; one grandchild, Kayla Johnson, Dunnellon, Fla.; three stepgrandchildren; one sister, Dorothy G. Humphries, Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sherwood Memorial Park, Roanoke with the Rev. Sally Dover officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 2310 Spruce Ave., Buena Vista at any time. Donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad. Lomax Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
