BUSINESS PLANNING WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED

A series of three two-hour workshops on creating an effective business plan, sponsored by Service Corps of Retired Executives, will be held on Tuesday, March 2 and March 9 at the Norwood Center, 1115 Norwood Street in Radford.

The courses are geared to business people who want to manage their businesses on a more rational basis, who are expanding an existing business, buying a business or who want to start a business.

One topic will be the relationship between business plans and a financial proposal.

Registration will be Tuesday, 5:30-6 p.m. Each session will run 7-9:15 p.m.

Tuesday's workshop discussion will center on what a business plan is, a sales/marketing forecasting. The March 2 workshop will address profit and loss forecasting and projections. The final workshop discussion will be on cash flow forecasting, cash analysis and balance sheet.
