T.E. REYNOLDS, FORMER LIONS OFFICIAL, DIES
Thomas E. Reynolds, past treasurer and secretary of the Virginia Association of Lions Clubs, died Thursday. He was 78.
Reynolds marked 40 years of perfect attendance at the Lions Club of Troutville in 1989.
A year earlier he had received the International Leadership Award from Lions International, for which he was a district governor.
A father of five, Reynolds was president of both the Troutville and Botetourt County PTAs.
He served on the board of managers of the Virginia Congress of PTAs.
Reynolds was chairman of the Botetourt County 1970 Bicentennial Commission.
The following year, the the county's Chamber of Commerce declared him the most outstanding citizen of Botetourt County.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bonsack Baptist Church. Oakey's North Chapel is handling the arrangements.
