Kelly Amanda Crawford and Auburn (Aubie) Light, Jr., were united in marriage February 20, 1993, at Cross Roads Christian Church in New Castle. The double ring ceremony was performed by Russell and Rusty Hall of Roanoke. The pianist was Mrs. Rockla Surface of New Castle. The wedding was directed by Janet Myers also of New Castle.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Crawford of New Castle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Auburn Light of Roanoke.
The matron of honor was Lisa Minnix of New Castle. The bridesmaids were Sheri Light, sister of the groom, Cindy Fleischer and Angela Shinault all of Roanoke, and Missy Drummond of New Castle. Best man was Auburn Light, father of the groom. Ushers were Doug Light, brother of the groom, Chuck Light and Todd Gills all of Roanoke, and Jason Crawford, brother of the bride, of New Castle. The guestbook was attended by Missy Light, sister-in-law of the groom
The bride is employed by First Virginia Bank, Southwest Operations Center. The groom is employed by Salem Ready Mix.
After a wedding trip to Florida and the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
