MONTVALE MAN DIES AFTER BEING RUN OVER

A Montvale man died Friday night after he was run over by a pickup truck in Bedford County.

Steve Lewis Biggs, 40, died at 9:35 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

State police said Biggs was standing on the left-side running board of the truck when he apparently fell off and was run over by the truck's left rear tire.

The accident happened at 8:05 p.m. on Virginia 607, just south of U.S. 460. Police did not identify the driver of the truck.
