MONTGOMERY WRECK SURVIVOR IN GOOD CONDITION
The only survivor of a head-on collision that killed three people in Montgomery County was listed in good condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Saturday.A spokeswoman for the hospital said Claire Tuck of Blacksburg suffered a broken collar bone in the Friday night accident on McCoy Road.
Tuck's husband, William Wayne, 36, and her 8-year-old daughter, Stephanie Renee, were killed when the family's pickup truck collided with a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
James Davis Reed, 47, of Blacksburg, also was killed in the accident.
State police said Reed's vehicle had crossed the center line into Tuck's lane when the crash occurred. - New River Valley bureau
