KEYDETS DROP 12TH IN A ROW
Charlton Young scored 17 points and Warren Johnson and Calvin Sinkfield added 15 each as George Southern defeated VMI 69-63 Saturday and handed the Keydets their 12th straight loss.Georgia Southern led by nine points in the first half before VMI trimmed the margin to 33-30 at halftime with an 11-5 run. After a Keydets basket to open the second half, the Eagles scored seven straight to push their lead back to 40-32 with 18:08 left. Georgia Southern went on a 7-2 run to lead 47-34 with 17:17 left.
Trailing 61-48 with 8:53 left, the Keydets rallied, scoring the next eight points to cut the gap to five. However, VMI missed a shot and the Eagles scored four straight for the win. \
