OBIT ATKINSON, EMMA P.

ATKINSON, Emma P., of Vinton, died Saturday, February 20, 1993. She was a former employee of Leggett Department Store in Roanoke. Surviving is a daughter, Virginia M. Whitehead, and husband, Robert, of Vinton; a son, Frank A. Helms, and wife, Mildred, of Franklin County; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Helen C. Helms of Roanoke, Lorine Helms of Virginia Beach. Graveside services will be from Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 3 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Rick Via will officiate. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after 3 p.m. Sunday.
