OBIT FORBES, MARY ISRAEL

FORBES, Mary Israel, 84, of 1716 Valleyview Drive, Bedford, died Saturday, February 20, 1993, in a Roanoke Nursing Home. She was born in Oklahoma on May 6, 1908, a daughter of the late Eugene Lockwood Israel and Louella Mae Landers Israel. She was the widow of Paul Olympia Forbes, and was a member of Bedford Christian Church. She is survived by a son, Paul A. Forbes, Buchanan; a daughter, Patricia F. "Pat" Harris, Cloverdale; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 1993, at Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth E. Burger officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
