OBIT KINSEY, OLIVIA OVERFELT

KINSEY, Olivia Overfelt, 94, of Route 1, Boones Mill, died Monday, February 22, 1993 at her residence. She was the widow of John Tazewell Kinsey Sr., and was a member of the Boones Mill Christian Church, where she was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Kinsey was preceded in death by four children, Paul Kinsey, John T. Kinsey Jr., Charles D. Kinsey, Ann Scarbrough. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Wallace and Mildred Kinsey, W. H. (Bill) and Joyce Kinsey, George Sr. and Lonna Kinsey, all of Boones Mill; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruby K. Wray, Boones Mill, Hazel and Grover Harrison, Bassett, Bettie and Garfield Fisher, Boones Mill; 31 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Bittle, Mary Loudermilk, both of Radford; a special niece, Kate Mills. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Coretha Morra and Rev. Berlin Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
