OBIT REVELL, RUTH HART
REVELL, Ruth Hart, 75, of Route 2, Bedford, died Sunday, February 21, 1993,
in a Lynchburg hospital. She was born in New York City July 18, 1917, daughter
of the late Charles H. Hart and Mary Wissert Hart. She and her husband, Dr.
S.T.R. Revell, Jr. made their home in Bedford following his retirement as a
physician in Baltimore in 1971. She was a member of Bedford Presbyterian
Church, the Friday Book Club, the Blue Ridge Garden Club and the Bedford
Historical Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her
children, Mrs. David M. Ryan of Bloomington, Minn., Ms. Mary I. Revell of
Charlottesville, S.T.R. Revell, III of Coto de Caza, Calif., Mrs. H. D.
LeTourneau of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. G. David Field of Severna Park, Md.; a
sister-in-law, Mrs. John B. Hart of Gadsden, Ala.; a brother-in-law, Walter J.
Revell, MD of Louisville, Ga.; also seven grandchildren; five nephews; three
nieces. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, February 24, 1993, at
10 a.m. at Bedford Presbyterian Church with Dr. Richard N. Boyce and the Rev.
Francis B. Avery, Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to either the Bedford
Christian Ministries, the Shepherds Table or a favority charity. Arrangements
