OBIT CALDWELL, PAUL M. REV.
CALDWELL, Paul M. Rev. , of Virginia Beach, formerly of Roanoke, died
Saturday, February 20, 1993. He was a pastor of the Mount Zion AME Church in
Roanoke for more than 13 years. He lead this congregation from its location on
Gainsboro Road next to the old Gainsboro School to its present location on
Melrose Ave. N.W. Upon leaving Roanoke, he also pastored Mt. Zion AME Church
in Virginia and retired after serving 24 years there. Survivors include his
wife, Dora E. Caldwell, Virginia Beach; three daughters, Nannette Caldwell,
Bridgeport, Conn.; Jean Spraggins, Maplewood, N.J.; Dolores Daniels, Salem;
one son, Samuel Caldwell, Chicago, Ill.; two sons-in-law, George Daniels,
Salem; Stewart Spraggins, Maplewood, N.J.; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Mount Zion AME Church
Virginia Beach. Rev. Warren A. Page will officiate, with interment in Colonial
Grove Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home of Virginia Beach is in charge of
arrangements.
