OBIT THOMPSON, SAMUEL EUGENE ("SAMBO")

THOMPSON, Samuel Eugene ("Sambo"), 83, of Pearisburg, died Tuesday, February 23, 1993 at his home. Mr. Thompson was born on December 3, 1909 at White Gate, Va. and was a son of the late Samuel Bane and Louise Hancock Thompson. He is survived by two nephews, James B. Thompson, Glen Lyn, Ellyson E. Robinson IV, Richmond; two nieces, Mary Louise Thompson, Marion, Betty Ann Thompson, Oriskany, N.Y. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 26, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Alan C. Harvey officiating with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
