SWIMMING-SUMMERLIN WINS ACC MEET EVENT

Daniel Summerlin of Roanoke finished first in the 200 individual medley Wednesday at the Atlantic Coast Conference swim meet.

Summerlin, an all-ACC swimmer the past two years at North Carolina, won the event with a time of 1 minute, 48.5 seconds.

The Tar Heels lead the team standings after the first day of competition. North Carolina State is second and Virginia third.
