ROANOKE WOMEN ADVANCE

Debbie Puch had 12 of her 18 points in the second half and Marcee Hufton scored 12 of her 14 in the second half as Roanoke College battled back from a 12-point deficit to defeat Eastern Mennonite 66-55 Wednesday in a quarterfinal game of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's basketball tournament at Bast Center.

The Maroons (19-5) committed 16 turnovers and made 11 field goals in the second half. The Royals led 32-25 at halftime and 42-30 with 15:11 left. Puch sank two 3-pointers with 10:55 left to spark her team to a 23-4 run and a 53-46 lead.

The top-seeded Maroons will face fourth-seeded Emory & Henry in the semifinals Friday at 1 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center. The Wasps defeated Randolph-Macon 63-56. \
