RETIRED GENERAL TO SPEAK AT TECH

Retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Dallas C. Brown Jr. will speak at Virginia Tech today at 4 p.m. in Colonial Hall of Squires Student Center.

Brown will address his experiences in the military service and as an associate professor of history at West Virginia State College.

The event will be in a talk-show format.

Brown was the first black to become a general officer in military intelligence.

His area of specialization is in the affairs of the countries of the former Soviet Union.
