OBIT PINKARD, EVIE S. KASEY

PINKARD, Evie S. Kasey, 89, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 1993. She was born April 10, 1903, in Franklin County. Survivors include five sons, Mr. Thomas Kasey, Roanoke, Mr. Otis (Mary) Kasey, Mr. Bill (Mary) Kasey, both of Rocky Mount, Mr. Wilson (Janalden) Kasey, Hardy, Mr. Mack (Doris) Kasey, Washington, D.C.; eight daughters, Mrs. Gertrude (Dewey) Williams, Mrs. Odessa (Robert) Powell, Mrs. Bernice (Carroll) Swain, Mrs. Elsie (Otis) Whorley, Mrs. Mary (William) Young, Mrs. Julia (James) Harper, all of Roanoke, Mrs. Alberta Hoosier, Blue Ridge, Mrs. Martha (Boyd) Holland, Wirtz; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 1 p.m. at the Bellevue Baptist Church in Hardy. Rev. J. D. Holland will officiate with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
