ONBIT LAINE, FRANK GARLAND JR.

LAINE, Frank Garland Jr., 69, of Keysville, retired United Methodist minister died February 24, 1993. He was a native of Chester, Va. Rev. Laine graduated from the College of William & Mary and The T. C. Williams School of Law, Richmond, Va. He was a Purple Heart veteran of World War II, ETO. Surviving are his wife, Beverly; four sons, F. G. III (Gary) Laine, Lynchburg, Va., Robert E. Laine, Keysville, Major H. David Laine, Fort Bragg, N. C., Kevin B. Laine, Martinsville; two daughters, Beverly Evelyn Laine, Keysville, and Melodie Suzanne Laine, Palmyra, Va.; and ten grandchildren. Survivors also include one sister, Betty L. Putney, Brownsburg, Va.; his aunt, Florence M. Hatcher, Chester, Va.; and stepmother, Mary M. Laine, Keysville. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Browning Funeral Home, Keysville, Va. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 26, 1993 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 1993 at 11 a.m. at Keysville United Methodist Church with interment in the Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Keysville UMC, Lunenburg Charge, Kenbridge, Brunswick Charge, Lawrenceville, Fieldale UMC, Scottsville UMC, Boonesboro UMC, Lynchburg, Va., Fairview UMC, Roanoke, Va. or the Charlotte County Volunteer Rescue Squad. Services conducted by Dr. Steven Bradley, Rev. Henry Riley, Rev. William A. Wright, and Rev. Stephen B. Putney, nephew.
