OBIT BISHOP, KATHERINE H., ("NEE ARRINGTON")

BISHOP, Katherine H., ("Nee Arrington"), age 87, of Montclair, N.J., and formerly of Christiansburg, died Sunday, February 21, 1993, in a New Jersey Hospital. She was born in Welch, W.Va., on December 29, 1905, to the late Walter and Lulamae Rosser Arrington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elise D. Nixon. Surviving are three daughters, Norma Jean Filiaci of Christiansburg, Janet A. Dennis of Manville, N.J., Joyce B. Greenwood of Branchville, N.J.; three sons, Guy E. Bishop of Christiansburg, Ray S. Bishop of Montclair, N.J., James R. Bishop of Mahwah, N.J.; one brother, W. Reid Arrington, Christiansburg; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, February 26, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg. Dr. Maurice T. McCarthy Jr. and the Rev. Robert E. Crawford will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
