NOTHING TO FEAR FROM WILDER'S BILL
FOR ALL concerned, Gov. Wilder is on target with his proposal to limit handgun purchases. The bill, which isn't meant to eliminate the problem of gun-related crime, only to help stem the tide, is a good one.Guns manufactured in this country are all legal, unless or until:
They are stolen.
Someone illegally sells them to a known or unknown criminal.
They're officially banned.
Someone or some company makes them without a permit.
For all who legally own guns, you shouldn't fear being disarmed. I'm not. For all who have or have not lost a family member to gunfire, may this legislation protect you from a similar fate. CHARLES L. REYNOLDS ROANOKE
