AIRMAN 1ST CLASS JERMAINE C. VINEYARD, son of George and Margaret Vineyard of 302 Brittany Lane, Salem, graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Vineyard is a 1992 graduate of William Fleming High School.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS JONATHAN S. FRANCE, a 1989 graduate of Northside High School, recently was recognized as a distinguished military graduate at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill.

France was cited for outstanding performance of duty, proficiency, leadership, initiative and military bearing.

He is the son of William O. and Margie B. Looney of Wirtz.
