CASTRO TIRED, WANTS TO RETIRE IN 5 YEARS
President Fidel Castro says he is tired and would like to step down in five years, but only if the economy improves and the United States lifts its 30-year-old trade embargo.President Clinton has said he does not intend to switch course on Cuba, ruled by Castro's Communist government since 1959.
"Time passes and marathon runners get tired. This has been a very long race, too long," Castro told a news conference Thursday.
