OBIT-MONTGOMERY, DORA MASON

MONTGOMERY, Dora Mason, of the Red Valley Community, died Thursday, February 25, 1993, in Eldercare of Franklin County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Albert Montgomery, an infant son, two sisters, Allie Brammer and Maude Luke; two brothers, Abel and Marvin Mason. Mrs. Montgomery was principal of the one room Hancock School in the Briar Mountain section of Franklin County. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Richard Wilson of Arlington, Va., Rosalie and Barry Lovelace of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie Brammer and Pearl Lemons, both of Ferrum. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Mountain View Memorial Park with the Rev. Glenn E. Clements officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Red Valley Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
