MORE SHOULD EMULATE ARTHUR ASHE

A REAL role model was buried in Richmond. While he gave a lot, he still had a lot more to give. But he died prematurely, a victim of AIDS.

There are two groups of AIDS sufferers. The first are those who receive the disease through being born to an AIDS-infected mother; through receiving AIDS-tainted blood for hemophilia, etc.; or medical personnel who, while giving care, are contaminated by AIDS-tainted blood.

These are the innocent victims who got their unwarranted death sentence from the primary group: those who knowingly risk their own lives through "gay" sexual activity, use of "dirty" needles while on drugs, prostitution and having many sexual partners. This primary group must have a death wish, or be suicidal to knowingly participate in the Great AIDS Lottery.

Someone in this latter group is responsible for the death of a great man, Arthur Ashe, just as if that individual had fatally shot him. (It was perhaps worse, since his suffering was so great and so long.)

It is a sad day when a real role model like Ashe has his life snuffed out through no fault of his own, unlike "Magic" Johnson who is reaping the subsequent consequences of his multitudinous dabbling in the Great AIDS Lottery.

Would that blacks (and everyone else) pattern their lives after Ashe and not be fooled by "Magic." MRS. WALLY GEIGER TROUTVILLE
