OBIT DUNCAN, STELLA MAE HUFFMAN
DUNCAN, Stella Mae Huffman, 91, of Blacksburg, died Friday, February 26,
1993, at her home. Mrs. Duncan was born in Craig County on October 15, 1901 to
the late Albert J. and Lula Bell Sarver Huffman. She was a retired clerk at
Corner Drug Store in Blacksburg with many years of service. Mrs. Duncan was a
member of Level Green Christian Church and was active in the restoration and
maintenance of the Williams Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Bartley A. Duncan and a daughter, Ruby D. Elmore. Surviving are a son
and daughter-in-law, Austin and Betty Mae Duncan, Blacksburg; four grandsons,
Jerry Norman Duncan, Sunnydale, California, John B. Duncan and Jeff G. Duncan,
both of Christiansburg, Wayne Cruise, Pulaski; one brother, Howard Huffman,
Newport; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will
be Monday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Level Green Christian Church, Newport. The
Rev. Jack H. Ford and the Rev. D. O. Weaver Jr. will officiate. Interment will
follow in the Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends
Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
