OBIT MCALEXANDER, CHRIS

McALEXANDER, Chris, 84, of Meadows of Dan, passed away Friday, February 26, 1993 in a Galax Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife, Bertha McAlexander, Dugspur; one son, Calvin McAlexander, Meadows of Dan; three daughters, Ethelean Largen, Meadows of Dan, Elois Hall, Sandy Ridge, N.C., Maytrus Seef, Warsaw; two brothers, Noah McAlexander, Willis, General McAlexander, Pilot; three sisters, Minnie Hylton, Lillie McPeak, both of Laurel Meadows Nursing Home, Rosie Childress, Christiansburg; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd with Rev. Douglas Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Burnette Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
