CHAUTAUQUA TAKING WRITING WRITING ENTRIES

Entries for the 1993 Wytheville Chautauqua Festival creative writing contest will be accepted until April 23.

More than $700 in prize money is being offered to the winners in essay, poetry and short-story categories in adult, high-school and middle-school divisions.

Contest guidelines are available by writing Creative Writing Contest, Wytheville Chautauqua Festival, P.O. Box 911, Wytheville 24382. Awards will be presented June 25 during the festival.

The nine-day festival has been held in Wytheville each summer since 1985. It features singers, arts, crafts, literature, stage presentations and other activities for all ages.
