COLLINS ANNIVERSARY

Raburn and Nina Collins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 27, 1993. The celebration was held at the Salem Church of Christ. It was hosted by their sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Sherry Collins, Richmond, Va., Randy and Katie Collins, Birmingham, Ala., Barry and Fredia Collins, Roanoke, Va., and daughter and son-on-law, Mary and Jack Walrond, of Roanoke, Va. Mrs. Collins is the former Nina Mae Bowles, of Roanoke, Va. She was a dental assistant in Salem for many years and is still a housewife residing in Roanoke. Mr. Collins is retired from C & P Telephone Co. and is a present member of Taylor Lodge #23 A.F. & A.M. in Salem. He is a past member of the Armed Forces having served in the European Theater during World War II. The couple have three grandchildren, Jeff Metzler, Richmond, Va., Cary Collins and Cindy Simmons, both of Nashville, Tenn., and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Carol Simmons, of Nashville, Tenn.
