NORTH CROSS WRESTLER TAKES STATE CROWN

Aaron Lang of North Cross won the state championship in the 189-pound class at the Virginia Independent School Wrestling Association's tournament on Saturday.

Woodberry Forest School won the team competition with 168.5 points. Hargrave Military was second with 147 points and Richmond Collegiate School was third with 97 points. North Cross finished 19th with 33 points.

Lang defeated three opponents on his way to the final and pinned his opponent in the final round in 3 minutes, 21 seconds. He allowed only two points to be scored against him during the tournament and finished the season undefeated at 18-0. \
