CUT PENSIONS FOR PRESIDENT, CONGRESS

AS A SENIOR citizen, I have a suggestion to make regarding proposed changes in Social Security.

Since legislation controlling such disbursements must be enacted by our congressmen and approved by our president, I feel that they could and should enact legislation that would eliminate the fat pensions they will or do receive. Think of the savings to us. After all, most if not all of them will be eligible for Social Security.

As regards to the possible early retirement of our most capable General Powell, it is hoped that his replacement will not be some homosexual. Perhaps some people who have not had the honor of having served in the military cannot comprehend the disastrous results of having "homos" in our armed forces. BILL McMILLAN VINTON
