OBIT HARRISON, JACK GARLAND
HARRISON, Jack Garland, 72, of Roanoke, died Friday, February 26, 1993, in
a Salem hospital. He was born November 21, 1920, a son of the late Benjamin
Clark Harrison and Mamie McGhee Harrison, and was a member of Greene Memorial
United Methodist Church. He retired from Greyhound Corp. with thirty-two years
service. Surviving is his wife, Martha Henry Harrison, Roanoke; one daughter
and son-in-law, Mary Harrison and Jeffrey C. Southworth, Roanoke; one brother,
Herman C. Harrison, Rocky Mount; and a number of cousins. Funeral services
will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 1993, from Lynch Funeral Home Chapel
by the Reb. Herbert Seeman with interment to follow in Pleasant Hill United
Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until
8 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount. Friends desiring to do so may send
memorials to Cave Spring Rescue Squad, 3206 Valley Forge Ave., Roanoke, Va.
