OBIT HANCOCK, EFFIE HARMAN

HANCOCK, Effie Harman, 92, of Floyd, passed away Saturday, February 27, 1993, at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hancock, one son, Norman Hancock, and one daughter, Nancy Faye Hylton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Reginald and Sylvia Hancock of Floyd, Mrs. Norman (Erva) Hancock, Rudolph Hancock, both of Hollywood, Md.; two daughters and three sons-in-law, Arlene and John Hylton of Floyd, Opaleene and Charlie Roberson of Galax, Louis Hylton of Floyd; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Spradling officiating. Burial will be in Topeco Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
